Next Big Step

Well, the time has come. Our time in Lethbridge is coming to a close. July 29th will be the big moving day. It's really a bittersweet feeling. But first to bring you up to speed. Teaka and I have been wanting to move to Medicine Hat for some time now, and now that she's done school, we've been on the hunt for jobs first. I've now secured a job that'll pay well and have great advancement. Teaka has a couple jobs on the horizon that could offer her a good job as well...

The hardest part about this move will be leaving our church. We attend River of Life Church and it's been such a huge blessing to be apart of this church.
The friends and connections we've made there will definitely last forever. For the last couple years, we've been helping out with Jr Youth friday nights, I've been driving Bus both on Sunday's and Friday nights, and playing on a worship team. I don't want to mention a bunch of names of everyone that we're gonna miss because, if I don't mention someone, people get offended! :) One thing that makes me sad is that we didn't take advantage of the community groups that the church has. It would've been nice to be a little more connected. But our lives were busy with Teaka in school me working late some nights. And now that Teaka is done school, we've been able to connect a little better with friends...but, now, we are moving! That's the way things usually go though. So, if you're planning on moving to Lethbridge, or you are looking for a place to go, I recommend River of Life, and join a community a group! They are very important to your spiritual walk to have people there in your life to walk with you!

Anyway, it will be sad to leave River of Life, and our friends, but I know that the friendships will be ones that will always be there and will last. We will probably have a come and go farewell party near the end of July! Is it strange to throw your own farewell party? Well, we are going to!

New Grill!

Well! It's FINALLY here! My long awaited BBQ! It's great to have a real Grill/Smoker now! I'm excited for so many things to try out! Turkeys, chickens, ribs, bread, more cookies! Roasts etc...I've got myself the Jim Bowie from Green Mountain Grills! The company I work for in town here sells them so I got a really good deal! Thanks to my tax return this year I was able to pick one up! Forfitting my watch I've been saving up for! But that will come again soon! Anyway, it took a while to set up, but once I got it up and running, I didn't waste to to break it in, cook some burgers, and try my hand and baking some cookies on there!

I did try and make some cookies, failed misserably the first and second time...so today I was determined to make it work and did it! And those cookies are pretty much the best chocolate chip cookies I've ever had! The pellets adds a really great flavour! Come over and try some!!!
